I traveled to Pembroke Pines, Florida at the end of November 2006 to visit my dad who was the manager of the World of Matter. While there, I contacted some of my past band mates, some of which I hadn't seen for over 25 years. I met up with Ezo Hernandez and Dave Rapollo who I played with in Hemlock and Taxi in the late 70's and early 80's. While eating dinner with them one evening, I got a call from Steve Argy and he came down and joined us. It turns out that after I left Florida to come to California, all three of them kept in touch and even played in bands together and knew many of the same people.
This picture is of Dave Rapollo, Ezo Hernandez and me.
Later in the week, we decided to get together at George Carbonel's (and his lovely wife Launa) coffee shop (the Coffee Scene). Steve Argy (bass from World of Matter and Lips), Phil Rodriguez (Percussion in World of Matter), and Earl Valentovic (guitar from early World of Matter when Dennis Sierra left) and my dad. We all had a great time and we hope to get back together to play in the near future.
