- Out of camp in Lompoc with a 17 mile to Rest Stop 1. A very gradual climb.
- It was misty, wet and cold again. We all just wanted to get to the coast but that would have to wait...
- Rest Stop 1 Bike Parking. A car accident (not involving any cyclists) further down Highway 1 near the Gaviota Pass caused a two hour delay to all cyclists.
- Us waiting to go. They were allowing six cyclist to go at a time after waiting in line of two hours. CHP rule.
- After I was released, we climbed another 1/2 mile and then a steep descent to Gaviota Pass. It had the potential to be quite dangerous so caution was taken by all.
- Finally out on the coast on the way to Santa Barbara and Ventura.
- Rest Stop 2 where I ran into a fellow rider who began his training in March and had never ridden more than 12 miles on a bike. He trained hard and up to this day, had ridden every mile of the ride. I was proud of Audi!
- Paradise Pit! YUM! Ice Cream!!!!!

- After 22 miles along the coast through Santa Barbara, Montecito and Carpenteria, we arrived at Ventura!
