- Bike Parking in King City and the line to exit
- Out on the way to Rest Stop 1 and after that, Quad Buster, the biggest climb
of the day.
- This gentleman would be on the ride each and everyday. It brought a smile to
all our faces. He's been doing it for years
- Rest Stop 1 and Chuckie. The knife needed sharpening.
- At Rest Stop 1 with my "tent" mate, Mark. Since each tent has two riders who
can choose who they tent with, Mark, being my tent mate gets a tent all by
himself, since I'm in a hotel with Kathryn. Mark, has riden the ride 21 times
and led many of our training rides in the East Bay for many years. Great guy and
has helped hundreds if not thousands of riders throughout the years. And I've
helped him with a few myself.
- My bike in bike parking at rest stop 1
- The Quad Buster at the bottom
- Quad Buster at the top. Again, my friend Bob entertained us all.
- Rest Stop 2. We always ate before we were hungry and drank before we were
thirsty. Chex...mmmm
- On Jolon Road through Ft Hunter-Liggett on the way to Rest Stop 3. It would
not be our last Army Base of the day.
- Rest Stop 3. There's a local store there that sold tons of ice cream. This was
a hot day, the hottest of the week.
- Us on Highway 101 for about a mile on the to lunch at Bradley
- In Bradley, at the school that raises more money on this day than any of the
year. Sure, we get a free lunch provided by the ride, but most opted to pay
either $10 for a burger or $100 (same burger, but you get to sit in an air
conditioned room and you get served). It all goes, 100%, to the school. We've
been doing this for many, many years, and the school appreciates us.
- Kathryn came by with the boys. She and the doggies were very popular!
- Back on the road, headed to that other Army base, Camp Roberts
- At the museum at Camp Roberts

- We were honored as long time Top 50 contributors since the ride started back in 1995. From left to right, Judy and Judy (our married friends), me, Kathryn and the boys, Joel Hollendoner, CEO of the LA LGBT Center and Mark.
