Gretsch New Classic Maple Drum Set
Original kit purchased as a shell pack with the 18x22" bass drum, 9x12" rack tom and 16x16" floor tom. I later purchased the 8x10" rack tom and 14x14" Floor tom new from the factory. Finish is a glossy Cherry (no longer available) in near perfect condition except for bass drum pedal rash which is slight. Check out the picture as all the drums do not match perfectly because they were purchased at different times. It is really hard to tell when the set is set up and will fade together in time. All the drums have the famous silver Gretsch paint which contributes to that "Great Gretsch sound". Pictures are below.
Only drums and floor tom legs are for sale. I'm using Aquarian coated Response 2 on the heads of the toms. The bass drum has a well used generic clear twin ply head on the batter and the Gretsch resonant side head with the Gretsch logo that has been ported.
This is an incredible sounding set. Here is a YouTube video where you can check out. This is me playing and singing Comfortably Numb which I think represents the rich sound of the toms well. My singing? Well, not so well, but you get the idea.
